  • The technical installations of this plant cover a huge site made over to the aeration, purifying and recycling of waste water in the south-eastern region of Paris. The plant forms a vast landscaped composition in which sinks and ponds occupy an area of some 100 000 m2. To minimise unpleasant odours, some of the basins are covered: a metal structure made of thick tubes fits to their circular concrete sides and serves as a support for their textile covers. The aluminium maintenance footbridges that provide access to the pump units in the centre of these covered basins also have a textile cover, stretched between two metal arches.
