The architecture of this media library presents pure lines that define large glazed surfaces, which capture the reflected image of the old Gothic cathedral opposite it. Columns formed of four steel strips welded in cross configuration rise from ground level to carry a ridge beam, from which the floors are suspended. Behind the structure marked in black, the glazed volumes seem to stretch from floor to roof. The presence of a glazed strip at the corner of the roof heightens the impression of weightlessness, and from the inside opens a view of the cathedral's spires. In the lower part, for the height of the ground floor, horizontal stone courses have been laid in front of the façade. Fixed to a metal frame, each stone course is separated by an opening to form an open-work facing. Stone, steel and glass work together in a rigorous conception.
