  • This office block located in the Seine-Rive Gauche redevelopment area, alongside the François Mitterrand library, takes its composition cues from those defined for the new neighbourhood around it. One of the guidelines in particular is that blocks should be dense but should have a hollow core composed of two interior courts. The elevations that enclose the block on all four sides are composed of a glass curtain wall on a metal frame. Their perfectly smooth surface is animated by a series of setbacks that differentiate certain parts of the building such as entrances, corners, base and crown. Over the core of the building, a transparent roof covers the interior courts, which are animated by steel catwalks that link the building's parts.
